Checkout what are the merits of using Jasmine Oil on your Hair

Benefits of Using Jasmine Oil on Hair:

  • Jasmine oil is one of those essential oils used extensively in aromatherapies, where the oil is mixed with any other carrier oil for hair massage. As it is believed to soothe the nervous system and calm the mind, massaging your hair with jasmine oil creates a conducive condition for hair growth as the oil helps to bust stress- which can drain nutrients from the body.
  • Jasmine hair oil is frequently used to tame unruly hair, and is often used by those with frizzy, coarse, curly, dry and Afro-textured hair, although it can be used successfully by  any hair type.
  • Using jasmine oil along with coconut oil has proven to be very efficient for hair growth. Along with adding to the volume and length, it gives dry hair a radiant lustre.
  • Being light and non-greasy in nature, jasmine oil can also be washed out easily, leaving the hair with a soft, smooth feel and fragrant smell.
  • Another advantage of applying jasmine oil on hair is that it helps to strengthen hair roots, which in turn ensure each hair strand is tensile, grows long and doesn’t go brittle.
  • Jasmine oil is also a good antiseptic. Use a bit of jasmine oil to protect cuts and scrapes from becoming infected. Jasmine oil is a powerful fungicide with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, making it an excellent choice to cure scalp ailments.
  • Applying jasmine oil on the hair is a good solution against dry and itchy scalp, as the oil is a wonderful moisturizer, locking moisture into the hair and scalp.
  • Jasmine oil’s strong scent can also inhibit the proliferation of head lice and its eggs especially when combined with carrier oils.

Using Jasmine Oil for Hair Conditioning:

  • Make a mix of 1 part of jasmine oil with three parts of grapeseed oil, olive oil, Argan oil, almond oil or any other carrier oil and take a tiny bit of the same on your palm and run your greased fingers through your wet hair.
  • Comb your hair starting from top and right up to the bottom and leave it as is.
  • The above method can be applied every time you wash your hair but be careful about the quantity to be used as too much can make your hair too greasy.
