Here is how Nature can make you more Beautiful

Healthy & Glowing Skin:

Glowing skin is an indicator of good health and vitality. It is very difficult to maintain a glowing complexion nowadays because of air pollution, stressful lifestyles, lack of exercise and intake of processed or fast foods.Before following the remedies. Drink plenty of water to keep your body well flushed of toxins and wastes. Include plenty of raw foods like fruits, salads and sprouts in your daily diet 
Follow these home remedies and experience a glowing, hydrated and rejuvenated skin.


  • Acne or people with acne prone skin or sensitive skin should not try home remedies or any self medication without consulting a doctor.
  • The healthier and fresher the food consumed, the better the skin looks and glows.Avoid canned/processed foods.
  • Eat plenty of antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables such as oranges, lemons, sweet lime, papaya, green tea, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, sweet potatoes, and carrots.
  • Include omega 3 rich foods in the diet like walnuts, almonds and other nuts and seeds. These help in building skin immunity and glowing skin.

  • Instant glow for any occasion:

    1.Take 2tbsp oats, 2tbsp yogurt, 1tsp honey and powdered almonds. Mix them together to make a fine paste and apply it on your face for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water to get an instant sheen.
    2.Drinking the juice of watermelon, apple, carrot and lemon helps fight the free radicals that damage the skin and enable you to get a blemish-free and glowing complexion in a month’s time.

    3.Coconut is used in a number of spa treatments  and scrubs as a skin nourishing agent. According to ancient Egyptian texts, the famous Queen Cleopatra also used coconut oil as a skin toner or applied it to the skin mixed with lemon juice or camphor. Using a combination of coconut and  sea salt  helps impart a natural glow to the skin with regular use. 


    Natural Homemade Masks:

    Honey and Banana Face Mask:

    Make a mixture of 2 tablespoons of honey and one banana and apply it on your face and neck. Wash it off after 15 minutes and within minutes you would see a glowing face in front of the mirror. This face mask is a great a moisturizer and also helps to tighten the skin

    Potato Mask:


    For oily skin potatoes are really very helpful. Apply a grated raw potato as a mask by rubbing the potato on your skin. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes and then rinse off with water. Potatoes help to absorb excess oil in your face and also help to avoid wrinkles

    RedSandal Wood/SandalWood:


    Make a paste of red sandal wood and apply it on the face every day for glowing skin.
     

    Tomato Scrub: 

    Simply cut a tomato into half and then rub it directly on your face. So simple, easy and very effective. Rub the lovely tomato all over your face gently and leave on for 5 minutes. In the end rinse off with lukewarm water. Tomatoes is a good astringent, contains immense amount of vitamin  C and has cooling properties which helps to brighten the dull skin in a jiffy and gives your skin a instant natural glow.  


    Papaya Scrub:

    Use the skin of the papaya and of course you can enjoy eating the papaya. You got to rub the inner part of the skin of a papaya on your face. And then let it dry. One it is dry wash your face with cold water and wipe dry. This will make your skin glow beautifully and is very opt for normal skin.

    Massage with Oranges:


    Extract the juice of half an orange and mix it with two teaspoons of curd. Lightly massage onto your face in an upward direction. Let it dry. Then, wash your face with cold water and wipe it slowly. It is very good for normal skin type.

    Cucumber Mask:


    Cucumber can be used if you have an oily skin. Grind half a cucumber and squeeze to remove the juice. Apply the juice on your face and leave it to dry. Then wash with water and pat dry. It helps refresh, tighten and also makes it glow.

    Gram Flour in combination with yoghurt makes an excellent face pack which removes dirt and dust and also excessive oil from the face making it radiant and glowing.

     Yoghurt is one of the chief ingredients in most of the face packs. It makes the skin soft, cleanses it gently and gives it the healthy glowing look.

    Turmeric can be used in combination with milk and gram flour as a skin fairness treatment and for facials as well. This face pack makes the skin soft and healthy and also naturally glowing.

     Apples are beneficial both as a fruit intake and also as a paste. This in combination with milk and egg yolk makes the skin soft. The smell though you may not enjoy, but tolerance will work wonders for your skin.

     Egg Yolk is an important ingredient in face packs despite its smelly nature. It has the properties that nourish the skin making it soft and radiant.

    Cucumber in combination with Honey makes an excellent face pack. This peels off the dead skin and dead cells and making the skin look young and radiant.Placing cucumber slices over tired eyes relaxes the fatigued eye muscles and helps in reducing dark under eye circles

     Oranges are also excellent when used as a face pack. These wonderful fruits when taken in natural form are a great source of vitamin c and the peel if powdered and combined with honey and used as a face mask makes the skin radiant and glowing.

     Sandalwood is a great cooling agent and can be used as a face pack twice a week. It has a cooling effect on the skin and makes it soft and radiant.

     Lemon is an excellent source of vitamin c which preserves the elasticity of the skin and makes it resistant to ageing and blemishes. It gives the skin a firm look and also a healthy glow.

    Milk Cream: Milk Cream or Malai has great medicinal properties. It makes the skin soft and supple and also younger looking.

     Castor oil: When taken internally as a spoonful daily, this cleanses the digestive system making you healthy from inside. As a result a healthy glow is seen on the skin as well.For natural thick eyebrows apply on your brows while going to bed .Wash it in the morning.

     Olive oil: Olive oil when used in preparing soups and vegetable dishes is great nourishment for the body and prevents lot of heart diseases. This oil is low in fat and has excellent digestive properties making your body and skin healthier with every intake. Olive oil is also used in face packs as well as an astringent for the skin.

     Neem leaves : Known for their medicinal properties, neem leaves when used as face pack ingredients cleanses the skin of germs making it healthier and soft.

    Tulsi leaves or Holy Basil: These leaves have the medicinal properties of cleansing the skin and also making it germ and dust free making it glow with health and radiance.

     Coconut water: One of the main ingredients in face pack, coconut water makes the skin soft and supple and also healthy. It prevents the skin from drying up in winter and delays the ageing process.

    Saffron(Kumkuma poo in tamil): Known as Kesar in Indian names, this is an excellent ingredient used in face packs for the purpose of lightning the skin tone and also giving it a healthy glow. Intake with milk gives wonderful results for pregnant woman.

    Rose: Rose popularly known as the queen of flowers, is a great health ingredient. Rose petals when mixed with water or glycerin gives soft texture to the skin and a beautiful glow as well.

    Water:  Water theraphy that is  washing your face with water removes dirt and germs making your skin healthy. Intake of 6-8 glasses of water makes you healthier from inside.

    Walnut or Acroot in tamil: Another popular scrub ingredient can be used twice a week for best cleansing and skin therapy. Makes the skin clean and healthy.

     Beetroot: Used in combination with yoghurt as a face pack. Exfoliates the skin and makes it younger and healthy looking.For soft and pink lips apply some beetroot juice over your lips

    Pumpkin: A face mask ingredient that is full of anti oxidants which clean the skin and remove dead cells making it healthier and younger.

    Strawberries: Used with yogurt cleans the skin and removes excess oil making the skin pimple and blemish free. Can be used twice a week as a face pack.

     Mint Leaves: Soothes the skin and cleanses pores when used as a combination with cucumber.

     Cocoa butter: This can be used both as a body and a face pack. It soothes the skin, makes it soft and fresh when used with yoghurt and honey.

     Egg White: Vegetarians hate this ingredient for its foul smell. The medicinal property of this ingredient tightens the pores making the skin wrinkle free and radiant.

     Milk: Raw milk when used on the skin works as a cleaning agent and cleanses the skin and the pores making it soft and infection free.

     Cumin seeds: These can be boiled in water and the water can be used to clean the skin and wash the e. This makes the skin radiant.Also drinking the jeera water or  cumin seeds water  is good for health as it cleanses the body.

     Radish: You can boil radish in water and use the water to make the skin fair and radiant.

     Fuller’s earth or Multani Mitti: When mixed with rose water and applied as a face pack makes the skin young looking and radiant.A face pack made by mixing one egg yolk, a spoon of curd and a spoon of fuller’s earth brings back the elasticity and glow of the skin

     Sunflower seeds: These can be soaked in milk overnight with saffron seeds and used as a face pack to get a fair and radiant skin.

     Sugar with lemon: This mixture can be used to clean the skin as a scrub. This gives a smooth, clean and healthy skin.

     Lentils: These can be used as a scrub in combination with rice. Makes the skin light toned, healthy and radiant.

     Rice: Used in various scrubs and face packs, rice cleans the pores and works as an excellent cleaning agent for the skin. Makes the skin blemish free and radiant.

    .Coconut oil: For people who are worried with dry skin, coconut oil is the savior which makes the skin nourished and chap free. The skin glows with youth and nourishment.

     Milk Powder: This eases out the fine lines of dryness from the skin making it look radiant and soft.

    Rice and Pineapple: This combination gives a fair and radiant skin when used as a face pack.

    Potato: The juice of potato acts as a bleaching agent. Makes the skin radiant, clean and glowing.

    Tea Leaves or Tea bags:  Makes the skin tone lighter and also nourishes and cleanses the skin. Do not use this if you have a dark skin tone.

     Watermelon: As a fruit intake is full of water which makes you healthy from inside by improving digestion and hormonal balance. When used as a face pack makes the skin soft and supple and also radiant.

     Milk Cream with Yoghurt makes the skin radiant and glowing when used as a face pack. Also makes the skin softer and nourished in winter.

    Curd with Tomato gives excellent results by cleaning and nourishing the skin. Its best results can be achieved by using it at bedtime.

     Almonds(Badam soaked in milk overnight and ground to a paste makes a great scrub for cleansing the skin. It also makes the skin healthy and glowing.


    For facial dark spots:

    1.Milk is a good natural resource for treating dark facial spots. It contains lactic acid. It can be used either in the form of sour milk or buttermilk that has a gentle peeling effect which lightens skin without irritating it.

    2.Apply parsley juice mixed with orange, lemon and red carrot juices on your skin gives a lightening effect that works well with freckles and brown spots.

    3.Citrus fruits are a great source of natural vitamin. Fruits like lemons, oranges, and limes are rich in Vitamin C which is also a natural bleaching agent. Lemon is considered as one of the most beneficial for treating facial dark spots, especially for freckles and age spots.

    4.Apply some lemon juice directly on the spot, either with your hands or using a cotton ball. The citric acid in the juice would work to bleach the spot, remove dirt and clarify your skin.

    5.Dry orange skin powder is applied on the skin with rose water is an effective treatment for removing dark spots

    6.Honey is also a natural resource for treating dark facial spots. It has several skin renewing properties. It can be heated and applied alone or mixed with wheat germ for a more effective lightening effect

    7.Lemon juice is used as an ingredient for various treatments for curing facial dark spots. Take lemon or lime juice with various vegetable and fruit masks such as cucumbers and apricots is found to be very powerful for reducing the dark spots

    8.Make a paste of turmeric powder and orange juice. Scrub it on the area that is widely exposed to sun or cold weather. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse it with cold water


    9. Make a face mask of curd and cucumber juice and apply it at least once a week.
    Dry/Chapped lips:

     Ghee is the best ingredeint available in our  kitchen shelf. Nothing works better than this.
    •  Aply a mixture of honey and antiseptic lip balm on the lips and leave them for 10-15 minutes. Remove with warm water.
    •  Mix together a few drops of glycerin, lemon juice and castor oil. Apply it on your lips and keep it overnight.

    Dull Skin:


    • Mix honey with milk powder. Make a thick paste and leave on for few minutes. For best results, it has to continued for a longer period.
    • Rub a piece of papaya on the face and neck for 15 minutes or churn a ripe papaya, make a thick paste and apply the pulp on face and neck.


    Oily Skin:



  • Mix honey with some lemon juice. Apply the paste evenly on face, neck and back. Leave it on for at least 5-10 minutes. This also acts as natural skin bleach and controls oil secretion .


  • You can also go for  a  mixture of aloe vera juice, turmeric powder, honey and rice flour to treat oily skin. 

  • Dark Elbows & Knees:



  • Mix sugar with honey and use it as a scrub twice a week. This is a wonderful natural  skin polisher and acts as a natural scrub.
  • Cut a lemon in half, and scrub your knees with it. Leave lime juice overnight on your dark elbows and knees and see the difference for yourself.
  • Make a paste of milk cream, a pinch of turmeric, and 3 drops of basil leaf extract. Rub this mixture on dark elbows and knees and keep it overnight which gives a very effect on your elbows and knees.

  • Under Eye Dark Circles:

    Natural Remedies that remove Dark Circles under the eyes are fairly easy to find. Almond Oil works great, green tea bags on the eyes are a great solution as well. Good sleep for about 7 hrs a day plays a huge role in the treatment of of dark circles. 
    • Cucumber juice is a common remedy. It should be applied daily around eyes and washed off with plain water after 15 minutes.
    • Mixing potato juice with cucumber juice in equal quantities helps if there is puffiness along with dark circles. Follow the same procedure.
    • Dark circles can also be treated by mixing cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal quantities. Apply daily and wash off with water after 15 minutes.
    • Apply a paste of turmeric powder with pineapple juice for dark circles under the eyes
    • Apply almond oil under eyes.
    •  Close your eyes and cover your eyelids with slices of raw potato or cucumber for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and apply a cream
