Here is how music help you find inner peace

We all love music, be it when we are happy or sad; music is often used in accordance with our moods. But did you know that music can actually help you beat stress and actually help you become healthier.  Here are some excerpts from a psychotherapist, stress management trainer.
How does music affect the mind?
Many musical therapy experts recommend making music a part of your daily life, because its effects can improve with time. There is evidence that, over time, your language skills, creativity, happiness, and more, can improve with regular musical therapy. There are different components to music that can have an effect. Pitch, harmony, frequency, melody and rhythm all affect the brain in different ways.
How does music help a person relax?
Music can help listeners find inner peace and serenity. This practical audio guide invites all to live more consciously and transforms our raw basic energies into a harmonious way of living.
How does music help align all the chakras of a person?
We have seven major chakras that are aligned in an ascending column from the base of the spine to the top of the head. These chakras are influenced by everything we do, and go in and out of alignment due to stress, minor illnesses and even our fast-paced lifestyles. Music can help realigned these chakras in the body.
Why is it important for these chakras to be aligned? What could happen if they are not?
Chakras are, in very simple terms, seven energetic centres through which our body’s energies flow. Often when our emotions are out of balance, these centres become blocked, which can manifest as an illness and aches or pains in the body. In order for our bodies to function in an optimal way, all of our 7 chakras need to be balanced. If one of the energy centres is not functioning well, then the others won’t function optimally either.
What is one of the most common myths that a person has regarding the influence music has on our body?
One of the most common myths  is the fact that listening to classical music can turn babies into geniuses. This is not the complete truth. It is said that classical music could make children more intelligent, but when you look at the scientific evidence, the picture is more mixed.
